Uckfield Town Regeneration Partnership, (URP), who commisioned the 'Uckfield Country' website as part of it's project to promote tourism to the area, was set up in 2001 to ensure that the towns community as a whole is able participate in the towns well being, development and prosperity.

What is Uckfield Country?
Uckfield is geographically placed at the very heart of the Sussex Weald and is therefore ideal to promote tourism throughout East Sussex.
With excellent rail connections to the centre of London, good local public transport, with local venues and a large variety of high standard accommodation, Uckfield, with its vibrant High Street, is an obvious centre from which to explore glorious East Sussex,
with its multitude of exceptional visitor attractions.
