Uckfield
There's always something going on in Uckfield. Major events are the Festival in July and the Carvnival at the beginning of September, and there is regular entertainment in the Weald Hall. Uckfield Festival
The Uckfield festival, an annual week long event is held during July of each year. The Festival celebrates the skills and talents of Uckfield residents. Attractions include street entertainers, displays of dancing, music, and a french market, and a host of stalls with represtatives from Uckfield Societies. The Festival provides a varied selection of enteraintment throughout the weeke, to suit all moods and taste - modern & traditional jazz, country and western music and cabaret style concerts. Art exhibitions, displays, photographys musical and threatical youth productions are an important part of the week. Local and natural history walks are organised during the Festival.

Uckfield Bonfire and Carnival Society
Uckfield Carnival originated in 1827, organised by shopkeepers of the day, is now celebrated on the first Saturday in September.
A massive torch bearing procession is the hightlight of the day, which is supported by othe bonfire & Carnival societies of Sussex, with bands, majorettes and tableaux.
Each year the society donates thousands of pounds to local charities and deserving causes.
